Day 2: Trek to Takshang

Embark on a warm-up trek to Takshang, Bhutan's revered pilgrimage site for over 1200 years. Perched 200 meters above Paro valley, this legendary temple, born from Guru Rimpoche's 8th-century meditation on a tigress' back, boasts a rich history. The 17th-century temple, resurrected in 2003 after a 1998 fire, ranks as Buddhism's 10th holiest site. The trek takes around four hours, leading to the tea house and onward to the temple.
Evening brings a visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest temples, and a Bhutanese Jacuzzi or hot stone bath at a local farmhouse. Return to your hotel, preparing for the trek ahead.
Day 3: Paro – Shana – Soi – Thangthangkha

Day 7: Lingshi – Shodu

Follow a trail to the opposite side of Lhingshi village, passing through a beautiful valley. Ascend to the Yelela pass at 4950m, the trek's highest point, for panoramic views. Descend to the campsite at Shodu, resting amid mountain tranquility.
Day 8: Shodu – Barshong
Distance: 16Km, Duration: 5-6hrs, Elevation: 3710m
Trek through a limestone valley along the Thimphu Chhu river, encountering caves and ancient ruins of Barshong Dzong. Blend physical exertion with spiritual enrichment in this leg of the journey.
Day 9: Barshong – Domshisa – Dodena – Thimphu
